Gregory Beaver

Gregory Beaver is a highly experienced software engineer and musician with a diverse background. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Braze since September 2020, Gregory has held various engineering roles there, including Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. Prior to Braze, positions included Senior Software Engineer at Citrine Informatics and Unlock Inc, where significant projects involved frontend engineering and core functionality design for web checkout systems. Academia is also a significant part of Gregory's career, with roles such as Research Associate Professor and Artist-in-Residence at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and as a cellist for The Chiara String Quartet. Educational credentials include an Artist Diploma and Master’s in Cello Performance from The Juilliard School, along with a Bachelor’s in Cello from Rice University. In addition, Gregory has contributed to the development of PHP as a core developer and served as President of PEAR, shaping its future direction.
