Dr. Pooja Thacker

Dr. Pooja Thacker currently serves as the Chief Dietitian at Breach Candy Hospital Trust since September 2021 and holds a position as a Guest Lecturer with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics since June 2021. With extensive experience as a Registered Dietitian for the Indian Dietetic Association Mumbai Chapter since July 2012, Dr. Thacker has also worked as a Consultant Dietician at Ortho Excel Clinic and Pikale Hospital from 2016 to September 2022 and from 2014 to September 2022, respectively. Prior roles include Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Bhatia Hospital Tardeo from August 2014 to September 2021, where responsibilities included managing trainees and interns, conducting clinical trials, and publishing research. Dr. Thacker's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Consultant at VLCC from 2012 to 2014. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Food Science from Mumbai University (2016-2018), a Master's degree in Sports Nutrition, a Bachelor's degree in Foods, Nutrition, and Related Services, and a postgraduate diploma in Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition Services, all from the College of Home Science Nirmala Niketan.
