Jason Watson

Jason Watson has a diverse background in software development and technical architecture. Jason is currently serving as the Director of Backend Engineering at BreachQuest, where they oversee the strategic direction and implementation of the backend technology stack. Prior to this, Jason worked as a Senior Software Engineer at BreachQuest, where they played a lead role in designing and implementing the BreachQuest Priori platform.

Before joining BreachQuest, Jason held multiple roles at Caspian, including Lead Technical Architect. In this position, they led the development of a financial anti-money laundering platform deployed into Nasdaq. Jason also served as a Technical Lead and a Senior Software Developer during their time at Caspian.

Prior to their tenure at Caspian, Jason worked as a Software Developer at The Nine Software Company and CMON Systems, where they gained experience in .NET development.

Jason had also founded their own company, Jason Watson Ltd, where they worked as a Software Consultant. Jason provided consultancy services to clients in various industries.

In addition to their professional experience, Jason had worked as a Software Developer at KBC, Lancaster University.

Throughout their career, Jason has demonstrated expertise in various technologies and tools, including TypeScript, Go, Postgres, RabbitMQ, OpenSearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS and GCP cloud technologies. Jason also has experience in setting up development processes and automation suites on GitHub Actions.

Jason Watson completed their education in a chronological order. From 2007 to 2011, they attended Lancaster University and obtained a Masters in Science (MSci Hons) in Computer Science Innovation. Prior to that, they were enrolled at Cardinal Newman College Preston from 2005 to 2007. While at Cardinal Newman College, they pursued studies in Computer Science, ICT, Business Studies, and History. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance, though details of when they obtained this certification are not available.
