Paris Young is a dedicated professional with a strong background in community lawyering and advocacy, currently serving as the Housing Advocacy Coordinator for the Community Lawyering Project at Bread for the City since November 2021. Prior experience includes a Summer Internship at the Apollo Theater in 2021, a Research Internship with the Chesapeake Heartland Project from January 2018 to May 2021, and a Legislative Internship at The Maryland General Assembly in early 2021. Paris also worked as an Organizer for Public Citizen in mid-2019 and completed a Research Internship at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture from January 2018 to May 2019. Paris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Washington College, obtained in May 2021.
