Breakthrough Central Texas
Robert Evans is a Program Coordinator at Breakthrough Central Texas, providing academic, social, and emotional support to high school students and families. Robert also works as a Security Screener at Elite Team Logistics, ensuring safety by verifying passengers and baggage. With experience in customer service at Chuy's Restaurants and Instacart, Robert is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Psychology at Texas A&M University–Central Texas.
Breakthrough Central Texas
In Central Texas, only 8% of middle school students from low-income communities will go on to earn a college degree. To combat this inequity, Breakthrough makes a 12-year commitment to help children become the first in their families to graduate from college. Our program focuses on a combination of extended learning, comprehensive advising, and leadership experiences to help students prepare for, persist through, and ultimately, graduate from college. From middle school to high school to college through college graduation, we are there every step of the way. In 2018, Breakthrough will serve more than 1,650 students in Central Texas.
