Jim Matheson

Jim Matheson is a Senior Lecturer at Harvard Business School since July 2019, teaching MBA courses in Entrepreneurial Finance and Tough Tech Ventures, and involved in various executive education and environmental initiatives. As Executive Chairman of Natural Intelligence Systems and Independent Director & Chair of the Investment Committee at FirstLight Power, Matheson focuses on strategic roles in multiple organizations, including serving as a Venture Partner with Breakthrough Energy Ventures. Moreover, Matheson is a founder and CEO of Fuzzy Capital, which supports impactful entrepreneurs, and co-founder of Patriapps Software Venture Studio. Matheson also advises New Politics, aiming to enhance democratic engagement, and briefly served as Campaign Manager for Seth Moulton’s presidential campaign in 2019. Educational background includes an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
