Pénélope Le Menestrel

Penelope joined Breakthrough Energy in January 2022 as Manager, Europe. Penelope is passionate about energy transition, and brings experience in strategy and analysis, market intelligence, project management, and community engagement.

Having first worked as a strategy consultant, based in Boston and working across the US, Penelope then decided to specialize in energy and joined Air Liquide in France to work in market & strategy within the newly-created hydrogen energy global business unit.

A Paris-based French native, Penelope holds a Bachelor and a Master's degree in Management from HEC Paris, a B.A in History from Sorbonne University, a MSc in Business & Management from MIT, and a MSc in Environmental Technology (energy specialization) from Imperial College London.

Outside of work, Penelope loves reading and enjoys the outdoors, in particular hiking and horseback riding, and is also a serious yoga practitioner.
