Carl Mattiola

Carl Mattiola is the co-founder of The Technical Guru and Breakthrough Physical Therapy Marketing. Carl has over 8 years of experience in product management and agile development.

Carl started their career as an engineering project manager at Accelrys (formerly Symyx). There they led the development of several new web products, including the All New DiscoveryGate, DiscoveryGate Web Service, and an online auction system for selling advertisements. Carl also served as the product owner for six months, establishing the direction of the product and defining features.

In 2010, Carl moved to Tesla Motors where they served as the Sr. Product Manager. There they managed and built out Tesla's sales process online and brought agile to Tesla's Dev team. Carl was with Tesla until 2013 when they left to start their own company.

The Technical Guru is a website that provides tips, tricks, and tutorials on a variety of technical topics. It was founded in 2014 by Carl Mattiola and James Nguyen.

Carl Mattiola holds a BS from La Salle University in both Integrated Science Business and Technology as well as Management Information Systems. Carl is also certified from the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
