Lea Li

Lea Li has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Senior Director Tax at Breakthrough Properties since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Tax Director at the same company from July 2021 to January 2023. Before joining Breakthrough Properties, Lea worked as an Associate at Latham & Watkins from September 2018 to June 2021, where they represented lenders, borrowers, issuers, banks, and private equity funds in various financing, securities, and investment transactions. Earlier in their career, they held a role as a Tax Associate at Duval & Stachenfeld LLP from September 2016 to September 2018, representing developers, investors, and a major foreign bank in real estate transactions and tax controversies. Lea also gained experience as a Summer Associate at Straus & Boies, LLP in 2015, where they conducted research and drafted legal documents related to antitrust cases. Additionally, they worked as a Judicial Intern at the New York State Unified Court System in 2014 and as a Consultant Intern at bebit in 2012.
