Karen Addington

Karen Addington MBE has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as Chief Executive of Breakthrough T1D UK since October 2005. Previously, Karen held the position of Chief Executive at JDRF UK and was Head of Corporate & Community Fundraising at Diabetes UK from 2000 to 2005. Earlier in career, Karen worked as Corporate Fundraising Manager at Action for Children from 1995 to 1997. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts (Honors) in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge, with expertise in Spanish, French, and Catalan literature, along with prior studies at South Warwickshire College of Further Education and Ludlow Sixth Form College.
