Heather Stombaugh, MBA, currently serves as the National Director of Institutional Giving at Breakthrough T1D, where over $48.7 million has been raised since joining in July 2022. This role includes leading a team focused on securing funding through various foundations, managing grant proposals, and overseeing compliance and reporting. Previously, Stombaugh held positions at JDRF International as Director of Institutional Funding and at Lion's Den, where significant income was generated through exceptional customer service. Additional experience includes roles as a grant consultant, trainer for nonprofit organizations, and trauma research coordinator, with a career highlighted by securing over $100 million in grants and authoring numerous peer-reviewed articles. Stombaugh holds an MBA in Leadership from Walden University and a BS in Education with a focus on Health Promotion and Psychology from Bowling Green State University.
