Janet Crate

Janet Crate, MBA, is an experienced events and marketing professional known for building relationships and employing creative problem-solving. Currently serving as the Director of Development at Breakthrough T1D, Janet works to support people affected by type 1 diabetes through event hosting and advocacy in the Memphis and West Tennessee area. Previously, Janet held the position of Associate Director of Signature Events at California Baptist University, coordinating various donor and alumni events from 2014 to 2022. Janet founded hoo-pla., a consultancy offering marketing and social media services for small businesses, and gained valuable experience as a Marketing and Sales Representative at HMA, Inc. through 2012. Janet earned an MBA in Management from California Baptist University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Baylor University.
