Matthew Jones

Matthew Jones serves as the Policy and Public Affairs Lead for Wales at Breast Cancer Now since September 2024. Previously, a tenure at the Senedd spanned from September 2015 to September 2024, which included roles as Communications Officer and Senior Advisor, where responsibilities involved press inquiries, speechwriting, diary management, and inter-departmental liaison. Matthew also represented Llanbadarn Fawr as a County Councillor for Plaid Cymru from July 2019 to May 2022. Academic experience includes serving as an Academic Tutor at Aberystwyth University, teaching various modules related to theatre and performance. Additional roles encompass Communications Development Officer for Plaid Cymru and Project Associate at Cwmni Theatr Arad Goch, along with earlier research experience at Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol. Matthew holds a PhD and a BA in Theatre from Aberystwyth University.
