Cosmin-Andrei Ion

Cosmin-Andrei Ion has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Cosmin-Andrei is currently working as a Senior Control Engineer at Breathe Battery Technologies since January 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Control System Engineer at Vantage Power from October 2019 to December 2021. Before that, they held the position of Senior Controls Engineer at Dearman from October 2018 to September 2019.

Cosmin-Andrei Ion's work experience also includes positions at Jaguar Land Rover, where they worked as a Controls Development Engineer from September 2017 to October 2018. Cosmin-Andrei initially joined Jaguar Land Rover as a Graduate Engineer in September 2015 and gained experience in various departments, including manufacturing and quality.

Before joining Jaguar Land Rover, Cosmin-Andrei Ion worked as an Aerodynamics Intern at Sahara Force India Formula One Team for a brief period from July 2014 to September 2014. Cosmin-Andrei was responsible for analyzing and improving the performance of car components, such as rear brake ducts and diffuser, using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and wind tunnel testing.

Cosmin-Andrei Ion began their engineering career as an Undergraduate Engineer at Controlled Power Technologies Ltd. in July 2013. Their main tasks involved reducing noise and vibration levels in a production-ready prototype and designing assembly mechanisms for prototypes. Prior to this, they had a role as an Undergraduate Engineer at INCAS in August 2012, where they worked on investigating and designing parts of the lighting system for a twin-engine passenger aircraft under development.

Overall, Cosmin-Andrei Ion has gained extensive experience in control systems, aerodynamics, and automotive engineering throughout their career.

Cosmin-Andrei Ion began their education in 2007 at the Tudor Vianu National High School of Computer Science where they earned their Romanian Baccalaureate degree in High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates in 2011. Subsequently, they attended the University of Cambridge from 2011 to 2015, where they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in the field of Engineering.
