Oliver Tedder

Senior Firmware and Electronics Engineer at Breathe Battery Technologies

Oliver Tedder has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Oliver began their career in 2010 as a Developer for ITRS, where they developed price feed monitoring software in C++ and interfaced with the PATS trading API.

In 2011, Oliver interned at the Max Planck Institute for Physics, where they developed High Energy Physics simulations in C++ and analyzed data from the simulations.

Later in 2011, they worked as a Developer again for ITRS, this time writing requirements for a website migration and building a new internal website using Drupal.

Oliver then joined University College London in 2012 as a Photonics CDT Student, completing both an MSc in Photonics and a subsequent PhD. During their time at UCL, they also worked as an Electrical and Electronic Engineering Lab Demonstrator, assisting first-year students with their laboratory exercises.

In 2017, Oliver joined ONI as a Development Scientist and progressed through various roles, including Senior Development Scientist and Principal Development Scientist.

Oliver'smost recent position is with Breathe Battery Technologies, where they work as a Senior Firmware and Electronics Engineer, starting in 2023.

Oliver Tedder completed their education with distinction, specializing in the field of quantum optics of semiconductor quantum dots. Oliver earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from UCL, where they were enrolled from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, Oliver pursued their Master of Research (MRes) in Photonic Systems Engineering at the same institution, studying photonics from 2012 to 2013. Furthermore, Oliver Tedder obtained their Bachelor's degree, a Master of Science (MSci), in Physics from Imperial College London, where they studied from 2008 to 2012.
