Kendra Purscell-Jackson is a dedicated music educator with extensive experience in various educational settings. Since August 2017, Kendra has been working at Dolton School District 148, and has also served as a Founder and Teacher at Heartspace Homeroom since February 2023, providing live and remote yoga resources for educators' wellness. Additionally, Kendra has been a mentor for Breathe For Change since June 2022, and previously worked with Chicago Public Schools from July 2014 to July 2017, where responsibilities included teaching general music, leading arts advocacy, and coaching on arts integration. Kendra's earlier roles include serving as a Music Teaching Resident at AUSL, directing vocal music at College Community School District, and assisting with programs at Children and Family Urban Movement. Kendra holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Drake University and a Master’s Degree in Urban Education and Leadership from National Louis University.
