Iris Bartels

Iris Bartels is currently working as a Trainee Information Security Officer at Gemeente Groningen and as a Young Professional in Cyber Security at Breinstein, both since April and March 2023, respectively. Previous experience includes a role as a Research Consultant at Scene Connect Ltd., where research focused on the social and economic opportunities of Community Energy Clubs. Iris has also served as a Teaching Assistant at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and participated in various educational initiatives, including a summer school on European Policy & Governance and a project on Defense's appeal to Generation Y. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in International Security, a Master’s in the History of Politics, Organizations, and Learning Histories, and a Bachelor of Arts in History, all earned from the University of Groningen.
