Olivier Smekens

Olivier Smekens is a finance professional with extensive experience in treasury management and risk consulting. Currently serving as the Global Head of Treasury at BREITLING since November 2021, Olivier previously held the position of Senior Treasury Manager/Director at Adient from September 2017 to November 2021. A strong background in finance is demonstrated through roles such as Group Treasurer, Information Technology Controller, and Internal Audit Manager at Bosal between June 2012 and August 2017. Olivier began a career in consultancy as a Senior Advisor in Risk Consulting at KPMG Belgium from September 2006 to May 2012. Olivier holds a Master’s degree in Commercial Sciences with a focus on Tax and Accounting from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, as well as qualifications from Burgundy School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Karel de Grote-Hogeschool. The educational journey began with a High School Diploma in Economics and Modern Languages from Sint-Rita College.
