Jay Chakrapani

Advisor at Brella

Jay Chakrapani is the current advisor at Brella. Prior to this, they were the SVP of Technology for Bootcamps at 2U from January 2020 to February 2021. Jay has also been the Chief Technology Officer at Trilogy Education from January 2018 to January 2020, where they were responsible for the company's technology strategy and execution. Trilogy Education was acquired by 2U in May 2019 for $750 million. Prior to that, Jay was the Chief Digital Officer at Barnes and Noble Education from August 2015 to December 2017. Jay has also served as the CEO of Mentored from January 2015 to October 2015 and as the President of CK-12 Foundation from January 2013 to January 2015. Jay began their career in 2007 as the General Manager of Digital at McGraw-Hill Higher Education, where they worked until 2013.

Jay Chakrapani has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an Executive Leadership Program degree from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, and a Computer Science degree from Oregon Health & Science University. Jay also attended Sunset High School.
