Jeff Dyrda

Jeff Dyrda is the current CFO at Brennan Investment Group. Prior to this, they were the Chief Accounting Officer / Property Chief Financial Officer at CA VENTURES, LLC from January 2014 to December 2017.

During their time at CA VENTURES, Jeff was responsible for directing all facets of property level and ownership level accounting and finance for the student living division. This included a portfolio of 29 operating properties totaling 11,339 beds, with another 9 additional properties under construction. The function grew from 10 operating properties to 29 during their tenure.

Jeff accelerated the completion of the monthly property close from the 20th of the month to the 10th of the month and brought the accounting systems to best in class by converting from RealPage OneSite to Entrata for property management and Yardi for accounts payable, general ledger and financial reporting.

Jeff also brought financial information together from disparate accounting systems by implementing Vena Solutions corporate performance management software which allowed for portfolio wide reporting and comparison. In addition, they enhanced and automated investor tracking and reporting by implementing Yardi Investment Management software. This task was previously accomplished using spreadsheets.

Finally, Jeff continued to enhance efficiencies and controls by implementing Nexus, an automated accounts payable workflow system, and Chrome River, a travel expense reporting system. Jeff utilized Yardi, Entrata, Timberline, MRI, OneSite, Nexus, Chrome River, and Vena software during their time at CA VENTURES.

Jeff Dyrda received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University. Jeff is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
