Audio Engineer/technical Director at Brentwood Baptist Church

Meredith Empie has a diverse range of work experience in the audio engineering field. Meredith began their career as an Audio Engineer at Student Life in May 2021 and worked there until August 2021. Meredith then joined Nashville First Baptist Church as a member of the Technology Team from March 2021 to May 2022. In August 2021, they took on the role of Audio Engineer and Technical Director at Brentwood Baptist Church. Meredith also worked as an Audio Engineer at Live Oak from October 2021 to October 2022. Meredith gained further experience as an Audio Engineer at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in June 2022. Additionally, they worked as an ACE Conference Audio/Video Engineer at Orange Thread LIVE in May 2022. Meredith was involved in various projects as a Video Engineer at Custom Media Solutions, Inc., including the NRA Video Engineer and Chick-Fil-A Impact Accelerator Video Engineer in May and April 2022, respectively. Meredith joined Spectrum Sound, Inc. as an Audio Engineer in March 2022 and also served as a NEEDTOBREATHE Audio Tech for The Never Ending Summer Tour from July 2022 to September 2022. Most recently, they joined Chris Tomlin as a Monitor Engineer for the Weekend Warrior church tour starting in February 2023. Throughout their career, Meredith has showcased their skills in setting up and engineering audio mixes, wireless coordination, amp management, and equipment load-in and load-out.

Meredith Empie studied at Belmont University from 2018 to 2022 and earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Audio Engineering Technology. Meredith also obtained additional certifications in Dante Level 3 from Audinate in January 2022 and in Shure Wireless Workbench from Shure Incorporated in November 2021.
