Jia Shen

Jia Shen is an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Brentwood Industries, Inc., with a career spanning from August 2013 to the present. Prior roles include Materials Scientist and Plastic Engineer at the same company. Prior to Brentwood, Jia Shen served as a research assistant and PhD candidate at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where research focused on the fabrication processes of nanostructured conducting polymers and metamaterials, as well as organic photovoltaic devices. Additional experience includes improving flame retardancy in cable materials at The Monroe Cable Co. Inc. and surface characterization of materials at Exogenesis Corporation. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University, a PhD in Plastic Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and a Master's in Polymer Science and Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
