Dawn Millar

Dawn Millar worked at firms in Buckinghamshire for the past 29 years, practicing exclusively in the area of Family Law for the last 22 years, she's delighted to now join the Family Law team at Brethertons, mainly from the firm’s Rugby office, but also in the Milton Keynes area.

Dawn assists clients in all areas of family law, but her main role is to advise clients on financial settlements in their divorce. This is a complicated area of Family Law, with constant updates on how the law is applied to individual cases. Dawn adheres to the Resolution - first for family law, code of conduct, which requires all members of Resolution to approach every family case in a constructive and cost-effective way. Therefore, she explores with every client whether it is possible to reach an agreement by way of mediation, arbitration, or collaboration. If none of these avenues are suitable, then she acts for her clients in court proceedings.
