Gautam Sharma has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Gautam is currently working as the CEO & CIO at Brevan Howard Digital since July 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Principal Investments at Brevan Howard & Alan Howard Family Office from January 2021 to June 2022. From October 2016 to January 2021, Gautam worked at Steadview Capital as an Operating Partner / Chief Operating Officer. Gautam also contributed as a Board Member at Urban Ladder from January 2019 to October 2020. Gautam began their career at McKinsey & Company in 2011, where they held various positions including Associate Partner, Engagement Manager, Senior Associate, and Junior Associate. At McKinsey, they primarily focused on serving clients in the financial services sector, undertaking projects related to digital transformation, growth strategy, operational turnaround, and more. Gautam's early career involved working as an Assistant Manager at ITC Limited, where they led a team and developed a Knowledge Management process for the company's tobacco division.

Gautam Sharma completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Gautam attended this institution from 2003 to 2007. After that, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Management, specializing in Strategy and Finance, at the Indian School of Business. This program took place from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, Gautam Sharma became a Level II Candidate at the CFA Institute in the field of Finance and Financial Management Services from 2011 to 2012.
