Ismael Orenstein

Ismael Orenstein is a seasoned portfolio manager with extensive experience in investment management. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at Brevan Howard US Investment Management LP since May 2023, Orenstein previously held the role of Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at PIMCO from August 2012 to March 2023, where responsibilities included managing EM local and FX mutual funds and separate accounts with significant assets under management. Prior to PIMCO, Orenstein was a Portfolio Manager at Santander Asset Management, overseeing multiple portfolios and co-managing fixed income assets. Orenstein's career began as a Project Manager at Banco Santander and includes analytical roles focusing on risk assessment. Orenstein holds an MBA in Economics and Financial Instruments & Markets from NYU Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Instituto Militar de Engenharia.
