Sustainability Intern at Brevard Zoo

Allison Kowalik is currently serving as a Sustainability Intern at Brevard Zoo, where responsibilities include mapping the zoo's water and power systems using autoCAD and surveying visitors for conservation education feedback. Concurrently, Kowalik is a Research Assistant Intern at the Florida Institute of Technology, focusing on sustainability advancements and managing social media accounts for official sustainability programs. Previously, as a University Sustainability Ambassador for the U.S. Green Chamber of Commerce, Kowalik advocated for incorporating sustainability content into academic curricula and collaborated with peers nationwide to enhance sustainability initiatives. Earlier experience includes working as a hostess at Enza’s Restaurant & Pizzeria, ensuring cleanliness and customer satisfaction during the pandemic. Allison Kowalik is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology at the Florida Institute of Technology, expected to graduate in 2025, following a high school education at Springfield Township High School from 2017 to 2021.
