Lisa Carlson is a Senior Web Developer at the Brewers Association. Lisa has over fifteen years of experience in web development, with a focus on research and development. Lisa has a passion for innovative web development and enjoys working with clients to create custom web solutions.

Lisa started their career as a Research Associate at Martek Biosciences, where they worked on a gene discovery project that illuminated the polyunsaturated fatty acid operon of a high DHA and EPA-producing thraustochytrid. This work led to a crucial patent for the company.

After Martek Biosciences, Lisa worked as a Research Associate at DSM, where they were instrumental in the development of a molecular toolbox for the production strain in order to facilitate manipulation of its genome and create a more desirable fatty acid profile. Additionally, Lisa worked on a real time RT-PCR project that quantified expression of a polyunsaturated fatty acid operon in a high EPA-producing thraustochytrid.

Most recently, Lisa has been working as a Senior Web Developer at the Brewers Association. In this role, Lisa provides web development support for the association’s members and helps to create custom web solutions.

Lisa Carlson's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder, as well as a web development certificate from Galvanize.
