Superintendent of Schools at Brewster Central School District

Laurie Bandlow is the current Superintendent of Schools at Brewster Central School District. Laurie has held this position since August 2015. Prior to their current role, Laurie served as the Superintendent of Schools for Paulsboro Public School District from August 2015 to June 2019. In this role, they were responsible for GO RED RAIDERS!!!! In addition to their role as Superintendent of Schools, Laurie also served on the Board of Trustees for Gill Memorial Library from August 2015 to June 2019. Laurie began their career in education as a Middle School Principal for Howell Township Board of Education in September 2004. In this role, they served as an Elementary Principal for seven years. Recently, they created districts first Parent Academy.

Laurie Bandlow's educational career began at Warwick Valley High School in Warwick, New York. Laurie then went on to study Administration at Monmouth University, where they earned their Master of Education (MEd). After that, they studied Education-Science at State University of New York at New Paltz and earned another MEd. Finally, they completed their Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Seton Hall University.

Brewster Central School District

The Brewster Central School District serves approximately 3,000 students, all of which are housed in one of four different school buildings. There is one primary school – John F. Kennedy Elementary School, one intermediate school – C.V. Starr Intermediate School, one middle school – Henry H. Wells Middle School, and one high school – Brewster High School. Brewster has earned a reputation as a nationally recognized, high performing school system with students who consistently perform at or above the levels of districts with similar demographic and economic profiles.
