Sheldene du Plessis

Sheldene du Plessis has a diverse work experience in finance and management roles. Sheldene is currently working as the Head of Finance at Bricklane since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director at Hudu Health (Pty) Ltd, a start-up medical devices company, from May 2019. Sheldene has also worked as a Financial Controller at FIBR from January 2022 to March 2023 and as a Senior Performance Analyst at John Lewis & Partners from October 2021 to January 2022. Earlier in their career, they held positions including Trust Financial Manager at Yum! Restaurants International from July 2019 to July 2021 and Business Continuity Manager at the same company from February 2014 to April 2016. Sheldene started their career in 2007 at Investec as a Financial Services Consultant, where they gained experience in various financial services areas such as property finance, specialist finance, private equity, operational risk, and internal audit.

Sheldene du Plessis completed their Bachelor of Accountancy (BAcc) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand between 2002 and 2006. After that, they obtained a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) certification from SAICA.
