Janelle D. James is an accomplished journalist with experience in various reporting roles. Currently serving as a Breaking News Reporter at The Center For Michigan | Bridge Michigan | BridgeDetroit since January 2023, Janelle has previously worked as a Correspondent for Capital News Service-MSU, a Student Life Reporter for The State News, and an Intern at Martin Waymire and Detroit Free Press. Additional experience includes state government reporting, election assignments, and freelance journalism. Janelle holds a degree in Journalism and Political Science from Michigan State University and graduated from University High School Academy.
