Leslie J. Allen is an experienced journalist and editor currently serving as the Deputy Editor at The Center For Michigan, Bridge Michigan, and BridgeDetroit since February 2024. Previously, Leslie held the position of Senior Editor at Business Insider from March 2022 to February 2024. Prior to that, a significant tenure at Automotive News from January 2006 to March 2022 involved roles as Editor of Shift magazine, News Editor for Mobility, Managing Editor and Executive Producer of Automotive News TV, and Tech and Special Projects Reporter. Leslie's career began at the Detroit Free Press as Automotive Editor from September 2001 to January 2006. Earlier experiences include positions at the Philadelphia Inquirer as Tech reporter, Associate Business Editor, and Copy Editor from October 1990 to September 2000, as well as roles at Philadelphia Newspapers Inc. during the same timeframe. Leslie J. Allen holds a degree from Northwestern University.
