Vielka Cecilia Hoy

Vielka Cecilia Hoy currently serves as a History Teacher and Assistant Track and Field Coach at The Lawrenceville School. As the Founder and CEO of Bridge to College Inc, Vielka leads efforts to close the opportunity gap through innovative strategies, including a web app. Vielka has held various roles in educational consulting, advising, and teaching, with experience as an Ed Tech Advisor for Land of Verse and Independent Affiliate at Stanford University Graduate School of Education. Past positions include Social Studies Teacher and Department Chair at Livermore High School, Associate Dean of Students at Making Waves Academy, and Coordinator and Teacher at Marin Academy. Vielka's educational background encompasses multiple degrees, including a Master's from the University of Chicago and a proposed but incomplete PhD in African Diaspora Studies from UC Berkeley.
