Edgar Vega

Edgar Vega currently serves as the Director of Patient Advocacy at BridgeBio, a position held since September 2025. Previously, Edgar was the Associate Director of Patient Advocacy at uniQure from February 2020 to September 2025, where responsibilities included building relationships and educating communities affected by Huntington's disease, ALS, and epilepsy about gene therapy. Edgar also held roles in patient advocacy management at Sanofi and Bioverativ, focusing on the Hemophilia community in various regions, and earlier experience includes a community relations manager position at Biogen, along with customer relations at Accredo Specialty Pharmacy. Edgar's career began with research coordination at UC San Diego Health and transitioned through various roles in health administration and insurance verification. Edgar holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Literature, Political Science, and Healthcare Social Issues from UC San Diego and completed post-baccalaureate studies in Pre-Nursing at San Diego Mesa College.
