Chelsea Karbocus

Chelsea Karbocus has a diverse range of work experience in the field of account management and patient advocacy. Chelsea is currently serving as the Senior Director and Head of Patient Advocacy at Taysha Gene Therapies since December 2021. Before that, they worked as the Director of Patient Advocacy and Engagement at Astellas Gene Therapies from February 2018 to December 2021.

Prior to their roles in gene therapy companies, Chelsea held positions at advertising and marketing agencies. Chelsea served as an Account Director at Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners from January 2017 to January 2018. Chelsea was also the Vice President of Account Director at Area 23 from October 2015 to January 2017, and an Account Group Supervisor at Area 23 on Hudson, An FCB Health Company from November 2014 to October 2015.

In addition, Chelsea worked as an Account Supervisor at Giant Creative Strategy from August 2013 to October 2014, and at Palio+Ignite from August 2010 to August 2013. Chelsea began their career as an Assistant Account Executive at Potratz Partners Advertising from May 2008 to August 2010.

Chelsea also gained experience as an Account Services Intern at Gearon Hoffman from January 2009 to May 2009, and as a Teacher's Assistant at Brookline Arts Center from October 2007 to May 2009.

Chelsea Karbocus attended Boston University from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications.
