Andrew Bagley

Andrew Bagley possesses extensive experience in auditing and governance, currently serving as an Audit Committee Member for Bridgend County Borough Council since June 2022 and as Director of Governance and Corporate Services for the Independent Monitoring Authority since September 2020. Andrew successfully established the Independent Monitoring Authority in preparation for the UK's transition period following the EU Withdrawal Agreement Act 2020. Prior roles include Head of Internal Audit at the Government Internal Audit Agency and Internal Audit Manager at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, with responsibilities spanning corporate governance, risk management, and information assurance. Andrew's career began at PwC, where audit services were provided to various public sector clients, marking a solid foundation in internal and external auditing. Andrew holds a BSc Hons degree in Maths with Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
