Software Engineer at Bridger Photonics

Gage Sowell began their work experience in 2014 as an R&D Intern at Idaho National Laboratory, where they conducted experiments with blended biomass and co-authored research reports. In 2015, they worked as an R&D Intern at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Gage then joined Washington River Protection Solutions as a Process Engineer in 2016. Gage later moved to Micron Technology, where they held positions as Fab 17 Process Engineer and Fab 4 CMP Process Engineer. In 2019, Gage became a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder. Gage then worked as a Production Engineer at Teledyne FLIR and is currently employed as a Software and Algorithms Engineer at Bridger Photonics, Inc.

Gage Sowell obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman, graduating in 2016. Gage then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2019 to 2021.

In 2022, Gage enrolled in FourthBrain and studied Machine Learning Engineering, although they did not obtain a degree from this institution.

To enhance their skillset, Gage completed several certifications. In 2018, they obtained the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) Level I Course certification from Sawtooth Mountain Guides. In 2022, Gage acquired various certifications from Coursera, including Machine Learning, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Applied Plotting, Charting & Data Representation in Python, and Introduction to Data Science in Python.
