James Shirley

James "Kyle" Shirley serves as the Director of Advisory Services at Bridges to Prosperity since September 2019, focusing on enhancing transportation access for rural Sub-Saharan African communities through innovative solutions. Prior roles at Bridges to Prosperity include Senior Program Manager for Needs Assessments, Special Programs Manager, Liberia Program Manager, and Rwanda Needs Assessment Manager, where efforts included leading a nationwide footbridge needs assessment in Rwanda. Previous experience also includes serving as a Bridge Corps Fellow, assessing footbridge needs in Tanzania, and working as a Reconstruction Engineer for IOM - UN Migration Agency, addressing program challenges with local leaders. Early career roles involved community service with the Peace Corps and engineering work at the South Carolina Department of Transportation. James Shirley holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University.
