Silvia Volpi

Silvia Volpi possesses a robust background in engineering with specific expertise in mechanical and aeronautical disciplines. Currently serving as both a member of the R&D Young Advisory Board and an R&D Engineer at Bridgestone EMEA since July 2018, Silvia specializes in commercial tire development for trucks and buses. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at IIHR Hydroscience and Engineering - The University of Iowa, focusing on optimization and ship design, as well as a Graduate Teaching Assistant position in mechanics of fluids. Silvia also worked as a Research Scholar at The University of Iowa and held a tutoring role in physics at Università degli Studi Roma Tre. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa, an MS in Aeronautical Engineering, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Università degli Studi Roma Tre.
