Alex Schiller

Co-Head of Fixed Income Research at Bridgewater Associates

Alex joined Bridgewater in 2009 and is Co-Head of Fixed Income Research. He is a Partner of the firm and serves as a member of the Investment Committee, which is responsible for making Bridgewater’s most significant investment decisions. Alex builds and oversees key portions of the firm’s investment systems, with a focus on the understanding and prediction of money flows and their impact on markets. His work has included the ripple effects of quantitative easing on global markets, systematic projections of credit supply and demand, the impact of coordinated monetary and fiscal policies, and the supply/demand dynamics of the gold market. He also plays a significant leadership role in the development of cutting-edge technologies for Bridgewater’s investment process.

Alex is a member of the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee and was named to Institutional Investor's "Hedge Fund Rising Stars" in 2022. He is a graduate of Princeton University, where he studied mathematics.
