Meghan Hawthorne

Meghan Hawthorne has held various positions since 2012. In 2012, they were a Sales Associate at Penzeys Spices, where they provided friendly, helpful customer service by helping guests select holiday gifts and ensured a pleasant experience. In 2013, they were both a Sales Associate at Naugatuck Valley Community College and Bridgewater Chocolate LLC. At Naugatuck Valley Community College, they worked in a fast-paced, team environment with other college students and staff and aided both new and returning students in locating and purchasing textbooks. At Bridgewater Chocolate LLC, they served as a Sales Associate. In 2015, they were a Social Work Intern at both Columbus Elementary School and Providence Rest. At Columbus Elementary School, they provided services to both individual students and groups, documented services and progress online for kindergarten group with IEP Direct, and observed interactions among group members and increased comfort level with professional staff. At Providence Rest, they established professional relationships with 6 clients by adapting technique to meet individual needs, advocated on behalf of clients to social services to acquire technical compatibility, and attended weekly Care Plan meetings for observation and acquired professional knowledge.

Meghan Hawthorne has a diverse educational background. Meghan began their studies at Naugatuck Valley Community College, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Behavioral Sciences in 2014. Meghan then attended Iona University, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work in 2016. Finally, they completed their Master of Social Work (MSW) at UCONN School of Social Work, specializing in Casework.
