Teshome Molalenge has an extensive work experience in facilities management, sustainability, and project management. Teshome started their career at Neuman USA Aluminum as a Special Assistant to the General Manager, then moved on to ServiceMaster as an Account Manager. Teshome then worked at St. John Fisher College in roles such as Associate Director of Physical Plant and Project Manager, and Interim Director of Facilities Management. Teshome later joined Bridgewater College, where they held positions such as Executive Director of Facilities and Auxiliary Services, Director of Office for Sustainability, and Director of Office for Community Engagement and Sustainability. Teshome'sresponsibilities included overseeing facilities management, construction, energy conservation, recycling programs, and sustainability initiatives.

Teshome Molalenge completed a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration at Bridgewater College from 1983 to 1987. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in International Economics at the University of Wales from 1987 to 1990. Additionally, they obtained various certifications in areas such as Climate Change, Grant Proposal Writing, Energy Auditing, Project Management, Community Engagement, and Sustainability Professionals Certificate from different institutions between 2004 and 2020.
