David Marion

Director Of Information Security at Bridgewater State University

David Marion has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an Intern in Treasury Operations at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts from June 2001 to May 2003. David then joined Bridgewater State University in March 2007 as a Network Support Specialist, responsible for technology implementation, issue tracking, network maintenance, and compliance research. In May 2012, they became Assistant Director and recently in January 2019, they were promoted to Director of Information Security. Additionally, David served as Chairperson of the HEISO Council from September 2018 to September 2019.

David Marion completed their education with a Master's degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University in 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Masters in Public Administration from Bridgewater State University between 2010 and 2013. David'sundergraduate degree is a B.A. in Political Science, also from Bridgewater State University, which they obtained between 2003 and 2007. Additionally, David Marion has obtained several certifications in the field of cybersecurity, including Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Network Defense Architect (CNDA), GCIH: GIAC Certified Incident Handler, CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional, GCCC: GIAC Critical Controls Certification, and GSNA: GIAC Systems and Network Auditor.
