Sharon Amaral

Sharon Amaral serves as the Assistant Director for Student Success, Equity & Diversity at Bridgewater State University, with responsibilities that include coordinating a high-stakes testing center, managing an annual budget exceeding $100,000, and supervising staff and student workers. With a focus on student success, Amaral organizes placement testing for thousands of incoming students and fosters collaborative relationships across various university departments. Previous experience includes roles at Bristol Community College as a Graduate Assistant, providing guidance to new students and assisting in orientation, and roles at People Incorporated as a Paraprofessional and Lead Youth Counselor, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Sharon holds a Master of Education in Student Affairs Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, both from Bridgewater State University, and an Associate of Arts from Bristol Community College.
