Isioma Okwechime

Isioma Okwechime is currently the Lead International Welcome Team Assistant at the University of Leeds, where responsibilities include organizing welcome events for new students. Previous roles at the university include Student Caller, Open Day Ambassador, and Student Volunteer focusing on teaching English to international students. Isioma is actively participating in the Rare Articles initiative and has secured a Vacation Scheme offer with Clyde & Co, where participation in the Bright Futures Programme offered insights into law firm operations. Bridging Barriers is social mobility charity supporting young people aged 16-25 to achieve career success through mentoring, virtual masterclasses and networking events. With mentoring at the forefront of what we do, we give young people access to professionals who empower them with the soft and hard skills needed to thrive. Our virtual masterclasses and networking events complement the mentoring, allowing young people to build employment networks to strengthen access to opportunities.
