Munya Zowa currently serves as the Head of Operations at PFAS (Personal Functional Assessment Services) since September 2024 and also works as a Mentor at Bridging Barriers from October 2023. Additionally, Munya Zowa is the Founder of Nöel Diabetes Service, established in May 2022. Previous experience includes a lengthy tenure at Maximus from February 2011 to September 2024, holding various roles such as Behavioural Science Expert, Mentor, Max Cultural Executive Chair, Performance Manager, Assessment Centre Manager, and Clinical Standards Lead. Early in the career, Munya Zowa was employed by the NHS from October 2004 to February 2011 as a Band 6 Charge Nurse and Band 5 Staff Nurse. Educational qualifications include an Apprenticeship in Operations/Departmental Management from September 2019 to February 2023, a Bachelor of Science in Critical Care Nursing from Anglia Ruskin University, and a Diploma in Adult Nursing from City, University of London.

Bridging Barriers is social mobility charity supporting young people aged 16-25 to achieve career success through mentoring, virtual masterclasses and networking events. With mentoring at the forefront of what we do, we give young people access to professionals who empower them with the soft and hard skills needed to thrive. Our virtual masterclasses and networking events complement the mentoring, allowing young people to build employment networks to strengthen access to opportunities.
