Mary Ellen O'Hara is an accomplished independent theatre director with nearly three decades of experience directing and overseeing design teams for approximately 65 productions across various theatre companies, universities, and colleges. O'Hara has extensive academic experience as a university lecturer in English at the University of Illinois Chicago, where 37 courses were designed and taught, focusing on rhetoric, academic research, and drama. O'Hara also served as a meditation instructor, sharing expertise in Vipassana meditation for stress reduction. With advanced degrees in Rhetoric and Composition, Irish Drama and Theatre, Directing and Theatrical Production, and Theatre, O'Hara brings a rich educational background to their professional endeavors.

Bridgton Academy's mission is to provide a program for young men in a unique, one-year postgraduate environment to prepare them for the rigors of college and beyond. They consist of an adult community committed to developing the whole student by providing a dynamic and challenging skills-based curriculum, a diverse campus life, and anappropriate extracurricular program to promote mental, social, and physical growth.
