Matthew Burgess

Matthew Burgess is a current teacher, coach, and educator at Bridgton Academy. Matthew also serves as the Laferriere Chair for Teaching Excellence and teaches STEM and Social Science courses. Additionally, Matthew works as an umpire for WMBUA and previously served as a Master Trainer for USA Football. Throughout their career, Matthew has held various roles in education and sports-related organizations, including founding programs such as the Bridgton Academy Hall of Fame and the school's rugby club. Matthew's educational background includes a Master of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelor of Science from Springfield College.
