Russell Berends is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in excavation and tunnel support system design. Currently serving as a Senior Design Engineer at Brierley Associates Corporation since June 2019, Russell has previously held leadership roles at Berends Consulting & Design, LLC as President, and at Brierley Associates as Project Engineer and Associate. Russell's career spans multiple key engineering positions, including contributions as a Research Assistant at the University of Colorado at Boulder and an Assistant Engineer at RockSol Consulting Group. Educationally, Russell holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
