Patrick Tam

Patrick Tam, CMA, CPA has over 16 years of experience in the finance and accounting field. Patrick is currently the CEO and Managing Director of Bright Balance, a globally recognized outsourcing accounting and finance firm. Patrick has extensive experience in fractional finance and accounting, corporate financial reporting, strategic planning, process improvement, culture development, revenue management, and growth.

Prior to their current role, Patrick served as the Director of FP&A & US Controller at K2View. Patrick also worked as the Global Financial Planning Manager at ECOM Trading, managing FP&A for a group of 170 companies in 45 countries. Patrick has experience in budgeting, forecasting, valuations, financial modeling, acquisitions, and implementation of financial systems such as Cognos TM1 and SAP.

Earlier in their career, Patrick held positions including Director of Financial Planning and Analytics at Imperial Management Corporation, Manager of Financial Planning and Analytics at Union Standard Insurance Group, Revenue Accounting Manager at The Freeman Company, and Cost Analyst at BOK Financial.

Patrick Tam, CMA, CPA holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Oklahoma State University, which they completed from 2002 to 2004. Patrick pursued further education at Northeastern State University, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Accounting and Financial Analysis from 2004 to 2009. Additionally, Patrick obtained the Certified Management Accountant certification from IMA | Institute of Management Accountants in 2009. Later, in 2012, they became a Chartered Global Management Accountant through AICPA and a Certified Public Accountant accredited by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
