System Engineer at Bright Machines

Nicholas Iacovacci began their work experience as a Research and Development Engineer co-op at Boston Scientific in 2015. Nicholas then worked as an Assembly & Design Engineer co-op at Robert Reiser & Co Inc in 2016, where they were responsible for various projects and duties including conceptualizing, designing, and assembling assemblies for customers, designing custom components, and enforcing quality control.

In 2017, Nicholas joined XL Hybrids as a Mechanical Engineer Co-op. At this position, they gained hands-on experience in mechanical engineering.

From 2018 to 2020, Nicholas worked at SOLIDESIGN, LLC. Starting as a Junior Mechanical Engineer, they later advanced to the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer. In this position, they served as a direct point of contact providing engineering services and played a key role in designing and managing documentation for high-tolerance specialty parts and electro-mechanical assemblies. Nicholas also managed and designed serviceable sheet metal speaker grills and protective bumpers for LED media tunnel in Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.

Most recently, Nicholas joined Bright Machines in 2020. Nicholas is currently working as a Mechanical Engineer, responsible for system engineering tasks.

Nicholas Iacovacci pursued their education in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Nicholas attended Northeastern University from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Prior to that, they studied at Hofstra University from 2013 to 2014, focusing on Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Nicholas also obtained certifications such as HandlingPRO Intro Plus (RoboGuide) in September 2021 and HandlingTool Operation and Programming in April 2021, both from FANUC America Corporation.
